A Bit About Patrick

Patrick got his start in the building trades industry doing new home construction in 1993. He then moved on to residential remodeling and, in 1997, received his degree in Interior Design with an emphasis on kitchen and bathroom design.
Since then he has worked in the remodeling industry as a carpenter with various remodeling firms and as a self-employed carpenter. In 2007 he started his own company only to have it end in 2009 with the fall of the housing market.
During this time, he has honed his skills both as a carpenter and a designer working closely with his clients. “I have always been able to meet people on a personal level in order to help them achieve their dream space while working with in a budget.”
His philosophy has always been to do the job right the first time. This comes with careful planning to work out all of the details before the first hammer is even swung.
“I grew up as a theatre geek. The arts, in some manner, has always been a part of my life. As a career, interior design allows me to express myself artistically. That’s where photography comes in to my life as well.”
Patrick learned photography from his grandfather on an old post-war mechanical Canon camera. “Everything had to be set manually, and you had to have an eye for the picture. Film and processing were expensive so the shot had to be right the first time!”
As a photographer, Patrick has done weddings, engagements, sports, school pictures, and even model portfolios. “Photography is my true artistic outlet. I absolutely love looking at the world through my lens! I especially enjoy setting up for the right shot in the studio and having it turn out just the way I had envisioned it!”
